The Study at Rubersview

A very special stay -A true ‘one of a kind’ retreat set up perfectly just for two.

A little luxury in the Scottish Borders

“Come for the fascinating history of the Armstrong family, for great walking and cycling without the crowds, for exploring conservation villages and to return to such an eclectic, cosy space.”

“Seeing is believing. The property is amazing.  Very spacious and warm enough for us. Beautiful open fire which was so easy to maintain. Rob, is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet.  The knowledge that he has of the local area is second to none and we may have missed a few of the hidden spots and driven right by them.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Study. It’s a unique experience and highly recommended. It’s an ideal location if you want to enjoy some great walks or just visit the local towns such as Melrose, Kelso, Hawick & Jedburgh. We were blessed with great weather & the autumnal colours were just spectacular”

“Be prepared to be amazed, a truly fabulous place, fully of history and character, we really loved our time there.  We loved our time at the property, there is easy access to amazing walks from the doorstep. And a big bonus as well as being able to walk to the auld cross keys pub in Denholm for supper!”

“This was a magical and unique place which we easily could have stayed in for much longer. It was comfortable, warm and felt luxurious. The log fire is wonderful feature especially after a day walking, the bed was comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. We cannot wait to return!”

The Study at Rubersview

The vast, open plan living area is double height and is kept light and bright by its many traditional Lancet windows. With antiques and charming pieces throughout there is something new to discover every day

There is plenty of sumptuous seating to snuggle up on and an unusual wooden bar cleverly houses the neat kitchen area. Steps lead up to the dining area that has lovely views out over the garden.
